My wife and I decided to spend a weekend in the NC Wine country. We normally plan an annual event but since we moved to the NC coast, it has been a while. In planning our trip, we quickly realized that there were many new wineries and vineyards we haven't visited, so we planned a full day for Saturday and used Ashe County Livery to provide our transportation. We sent a list of who we wanted to visit and included a place for a short lunch. James planned everything and created a realistic agenda. He assigned Pat McGuire as our driver. Pat was incredible. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We even invited her to eat lunch with us at a Winery Stop. We would strongly recommend Ashe County Livery to assist with your trip planning and transportation needs. ~ Matt A

James and the entire team absolutely knocked it out of the park for our daughter’s wedding weekend at Twickenham House in Jefferson, Nc. Our initial transportation vendor had to step down due to health issues just 6 weeks before the wedding. James and his team stepped in and executed the requirements of the weekend flawlessly. From rehearsal dinner transportation Friday night between Twickenham, Jefferson Landing and the West Jefferson Hotel, later routes between all three for the welcome party, to multiple wedding day runs between both lodging venues and Twickenham House at the top of the Phoenix Mountain, the Ashe County Livery team make sure every guest arrived safely and not one person once left behind. We spent the day with James of Ashe County Livery and it was a great day with 11 of us girls, tasting at 3 winery's and just enjoying the day thanks to the organization and planning that James did for us. From choosing the closest wineries so that we would spend more time wine tasting than driving to these locations and pre-reserving spots for us at these wineries...James couldn't have made it easier for us...all we had to do was hop on the van and he took care of the rest of it for us so all we had to do was arrive at the winery and there was reserved tables all ready to receive us and James made it so personal and delightful. We were extremely happy with the shuttle service we used in Charlotte and West Jefferson. From start to finish, the service was professional, reliable, friendly, and made our travels so much easier. A special mention has to go to Carsten, our driver. He was absolutely fantastic, friendly, helpful, punctual, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He really made a difference to our experience. Absolutely incredible service from start to finish! We used this transport company for our travel all weekend, from Charlotte to West Jefferson and then on to Oak Hill, and we couldn’t have been happier. I booked Livery Transportation for my 42nd birthday wine country trip, and I could not have asked for a better experience\! Our driver, Janet, was AMAZING. She was professional, kind, patient, accommodating, and truly helped make the entire day run smoothly. We had a full day planned with multiple stops and a van full of ladies celebrating, and Janet handled us and our itinerary with ease. 😂 She got us everywhere safely, kept things stress free, and allowed me to actually enjoy my birthday instead of worrying about transportation and logistics. Carsten was my driver and he texted me before my flight left Tampa to introduce himself, tell me where to meet him, and what kind of car to look for. With a delay in one of my flights he was on top of it and he met me right where we discussed. On the trip from airport to Boone, he gave me music genre choice,, and was nice enough to stop for a coffee and bathroom break halfway up to the mountain. Ashe County Livery exceeded our expectations! We recently hired their van service to take 8 of us on a tour of 5 NC wineries for a 60th Birthday celebration with friends. James was excellent during the reservation/itenary planning. He had great suggestions to make the most of our day. The best part was that he picked us up at our house in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, about an hour from the wineries. James was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and kept us on schedule. If you're considering transportation for an event in the High Country, I cannot recommend Ashe County Livery enough. We used Ashe County Livery for our wedding at The Sky Retreat in Purlear, NC. We coordinated transportation for guests staying at both our hotel blocks and various Airbnbs throughout the area. From the very beginning, James made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. As we got closer to our wedding day, we made a few changes to our pickup plans, and James accommodated everything without hesitation. Ashe County Livery did a shuttle service for my daughter’s wedding at Sky Retreat. They were wonderful!
